The Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) has announced the removal of the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL) with the implementation of the Ministerial Direction 100. The direction focus on speeding up the process of skilled applications for all occupation across all sectors, this way, easing the labor shortages in Australia. Healthcare and teaching occupations continue to be the priority. It is understood that the PMSOL was outdated as it didn’t reflect the current need for workers in Australia.
